Scripture Cafe
Every Thursday at 9am, Hephzibah’s overnight guests gather to listen to Scripture over breakfast and coffee. We also open our doors to friends and neighbors. Will you join us? RSVP using the form at right. There is no cost to attend.
What to Expect: Scripture Café takes place in the parlor or dining room. We will provide a simple breakfast (coffee/tea, bagels, pastries, fruit, etc) at 9am. Starting at 9:10am, we will play 30 minutes of Scripture selections from the Old and New Testaments, using an audio Bible, with the text on the projector screen.
Unlike a Bible study, there are no discussion questions. We simply feast on God’s word with a receptive posture and let Scripture speak for itself and grow our faith (Romans 10:17). Depending on where we are in our reading plan, you may hear a passage you haven’t read in a long time (Obadiah, anyone?).
After the reading is complete, our guests and friends are welcome to linger for fellowship.
