"You Shall be called Hephzibah, for the Lord delights in You..." (Isaiah 62:4)

Prayer has always been the center of the Hephzibah Ministry and part of our extended ministry is to fulfill Isaiah 61:1-4. With phone calls, mail, emails and many personal contacts, Hephzibah House hearts are open and prayers are made for all who have needs.
HH Ministries (Prayer)
Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

HH Ministries

PRAYER:   According to the records of the Hephzibah House Ministry, prayer was given priority over all other activities from the beginning of this ministry.  Probably people were praying before then about the need for such a place as Hephzibah House, which is why and how God called it into being and has protected and provided for it these past 100 years plus,
and we still make it our top priority.

Every month, Hephzibah House hosts a prayer gathering to pray specifically for New York City and some global requests. This takes place on the second Sunday of each month between two and four in the afternoon. All are welcome...please join us.

THE PRAYER MINISTRY OF HEPHZIBAH HOUSE

Every weekday morning at 9:00 AM...the Hephzibah Staff gathers to pray. Sometimes houseguests join us and sometimes people come in from the outside...everyone is welcome and if there is a particular need or crisis you may come and we will pray with you, or you may phone us and we will include your request in our prayers. These prayer times are such blessings to all of us on staff and His Presence is very precious. Our Monthly Prayer Gatherings are held the second Sunday afternoon of every month between the hours of 2 and 4 P.M. Near the end of the sessions it is our delight to pray with those who come to join us, for any special requests and needs....but the purpose of this prayer time is to pray for New York City, for the many and awesome needs of this city, for our leaders, for the various segments of society...we pray for families and children, professionals...ethnic groups, churches, etc. We also pray for our world, for crisis places and problems needing God's hand at that time. This prayer time is for everyone and anyone who want to join us to pray...if you have never been a part of a prayer group for city and/or world, come and join with us. The prayer sessions are wonderful.

A large number of women have joined the Website Prayer Circle that was started late 2007...this was established for prayers for our world needs. After you join us, if you have email, a monthly communication is sent you and the website is updated and it is a way you are able to join many others with your prayers and intercessions for God's Kingdom purposes. If you want to research and see what it is all about, just go to the website...several of those involved in this are using the material and inviting others to join them in their homes and churches in prayer meetings for our world. If you are not a part of this, or have missionary friends, etc., who might like to know about this, please give them the website...www.womensprayerweb.com after which they can contact me if they wish to be a part of this movement. I know that some of you are not a part of the computer world...if you aren't but would like to be a part of this prayer group, phone Lois Ewald at 212-787-6150 and join those others who are a part of this prayer circle.

Above all else... PRAY!

National Day of Prayer  and Global Day of Prayer:

Planned gatherings for these called days of prayer  in 2009 were held.
In 2010, God willing, we will also have special prayer gatherings here at Hephzibah House
to join people everywhere who gather to pray.  Watch for these announcements and plan to
be with us to pray.

Prayer Website:

In 2007, a website for praying women was established.  Many women have signed up to be
participants in this prayer circle.  For those who sign up for this, a packet containing
some very inspiring and helpful material  is sent, and from that time on, women who use
computers are notified when a new monthly call to prayer is posted on the website.  A
growing number of women worldwide are signing up for this, and all women are welcome.
Those women who do not use computers may still be a part of this by phoning me at
Hephzibah House, Lois Ewald, (212)787-6150, and communication is set up by mail.    You
may want to consider this website for your prayer enlargement: www.womensprayerweb.com and if so, let us hear from you.
