Hephzibah House Prayer Ministry
PRAYER takes priority over all other ministries at Hephzibah House.
Hephzibah House began with prayer. It has been sustained with prayer. It has been made fruitful with prayer. Hephzibah House regards prayer as the most valuable work in its activities. Prayer should have the dominate place in this ministry. There must always be planned prayer gatherings, teaching and training in the subject of prayer, and the availability to pray with all who have needs. Our staff has been chosen with the realization that they have a responsibility to pray. Because we are also an international organization, our prayer commitment has an international scope.
Monthly Prayer Gathering
The first Sunday afternoon of each month from 2:00pm-4:00pm
We pray specifically for churches, Christian organizations, and other ministries in New York City. At the close of each gathering, we allow time to pray for personal requests. These prayer gatherings are open to everyone and no registration is required.
In 2007, Lois Ewald from Hephzibah House established a Worldwide Womens Prayer Web for women who desire to pray about world issues and leaders.

Prayer Outreach
In the summer of 2005, the Hephzibah Board approved the distribution of the video, “THE ROLE OF PRAYER IN SPIRITUAL AWAKENING” (Dr. J. Edwin Orr) to all church pastors in New York City. During that summer, over 1,000 copies of the video were mailed to pastors in New York City. Since the initial mailing, a few hundred more videos have been given to pastors and spiritual leaders who visited Hephzibah House.
Hephzibah House will provide pastors and mission leaders a packet that includes the video, "The Role of Prayer in Spiritual Awakening" along with a DVD entitled “Children In Prayer".
To request these materials. phone 212-787-6150 or email: hhouse@email.com ('prayer video & dvd' in subject line)
Would you pray with Hephzibah House for all those who receive these powerful tools, and ask God to increase the desire to pray?
Children in Prayer
"Then said He unto the disciples, “It is
impossible but that offenses will come: but woe unto him through
whom they come! It were better for him that a
millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea,
than that he should offend one of these little ones.”
Luke 17:1-2
"All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall
be the peace of your children” Is. 54:13
"You have established a stronghold from the mouths of
children…to silence the enemy and the avenger."
Ps. 8:2
Many of us pray for children and with children. However, we place our hope for children in the prayers of adults. We think that children are too young for real prayer and that they are too young to have a significant prayer life. There is a movement taking place in our world, an awesome movement of prayer by children. Children of all ages are praying. Some of the very young ones are crying out to God, as their Father. Some of these children are fatherless and draw near to Him as their Father. Some find their hope and security in the Father because they are bearing the burdens of their families. Children are becoming major prayer intercessors.
Since 2009, Hephzibah House has been actively involved with children’s workers, parents, and intercessors to make it known that God is building a children’s prayer force throughout the world. Several hundred copies of the DVD "Children in Prayer" and other materials have been placed in the hands of children's leaders in New York City.
If you work with children as a Sunday school teacher, a worker in Child Evangelism, children’s Christian clubs, or if you have a heart for children, please consider joining us in teaching children to pray. We have a small committee working in the NYC area to develop Praying Children in the United States.
